Girls get an invitation into ‘Brandi’s World’

Brandi Chastain is on a mission. In three long-legged strides, she covers the distance to the chair next to the one in which Los Gatos podiatrist Dr. Joan Oloff is seated.
Collapsing in a heap, Chastain kicks off her flip-flop, twists her foot backwards and parks it in Oloff’s lap. Then, laughing and pointing to one of many scrapes on her ankle, she says “Doctor, fix this, please,“ and plasters a wet kiss on Oloff’s cheek. The formalities thus concluded, the two settle in for some serious talk.
Oloff and Chastain — a member of the 1996 Olympic gold medal-winning women’s soccer team, and Time, Newsweek and Sports Illustrated cover-girl for her “sports bra celebration” following her team’s 1999 World Cup victory — have joined forces in a new project. Read more
