Have You Ever Had One Of Those Weeks?
Have you ever had one of those weeks where you are so excited about everything that’s coming up BUT exhausted just thinking about it? Whew that was my week. I have decided that being super busy beats out being bored everytime. AND, even though there is not much extra time, being busy allows me to get my workout in just doing normal errands, carry the boxes upon boxes of SCU women’s soccer gear to and from the office to my car and back, chases errant soccer #@%*! at the opening of double days, hustling to the plane for a filming of Pretty Tough(make sure you check it out) and back to the airport to get home for a late dinner. Along the way I have found that stopping from time to time to share a moment with my husband, son, friend and new friends is really important and gives true meaning to the day. So my tidbit for the day, like my instructions to the soccer players in ‘Pretty Tough’ “stay focused, but enjoy the moment”. Have a great day.

Hey Brandi…thanks for the time you spent this week speaking with us (Disney Consumer Products Teams) on the conference call. It sounds like it was just one more thing in an already busy week for you. It was such a joy to hear you speak about changes throughout your career and how you have been able to work through tough times going from the top, to the bottom, back to the top. You have always been one of my favorite female players for the USWNT, and to hear you speak was very rewarding. I was listening with the Disney team in Northwest Arkansas (Walmart world) and it was funny to hear that you were just in the area playing golf. Your words hit home for me…I am changing teams as I am now going to be coaching my boy’s team (U11) after coaching my daughter for about 6 years (just wrapped up her U14 year). A lot of changes in our household with me doing this and with her going from club soccer to high-school cross-country to hs soccer…she’s had to make the decision that she would take a break from club soccer to concentrate on these other activities while also going into high school for her first year. Your talk was very inspiring and it gave me some good talking points to share with her, as well as help me think through some things myself. Thanks again for your time this week.
