Hello Friends,
What a great week! Brandi and I just returned home from a whirlwind east coast trip.
Last Saturday, we had a great day at the Allykatzz tween summit in Washingtom DC. Brandi was able to meet many girls. She was part of a panel showing girls how to explore “unorthodox” careers. Although she is a professional soccer player, she sees herself as a “playground expert.“
The best part of the day was clearly getting to meet many girls individually and play with them. Several of the girls tried to help Brandi master the hoola-hoop. At the end of the day, she never quite mastered the hoola-hoop, but she had a blast trying! We just posted a new video showing her trying.
Keep posted, as we will be posting more videos from the trip. We met a great bus driver, Sharon, who drove the Bolt bus from Washington DC to New York City.
Once in New York, Brandi went to the Women’s Sports Foundation Annual Dinner. We posted pictures of her with her “formal” ponytail look at the event. Brandi decided to call some friends of hers who are fencers. They recently won the silver medal in the olympic games. They demonstrated their techniques, then coached us. Finally, the moment I had been waiting for…. we were able to fence each other! Yes, she beat me, but I still had a blast.
Keep checking the website. We’re excited about some plans we have for you.
Thank-you to all of our new friends who have signed up this week. Welcome!!!
Peace,
“Doc” Joan
