Summer
Now my summer wasn’t all work. I had FUN wandering around the City (New York) with a soccer ball at my feet, making my way through Central Park, the West Side Highway, the Statue of Liberty, over the Brooklyn Bridge, as well as roaming through Time Square, SoHo, and the East Village. Along the sidewalks, I made fast friends when I would pass the ball to an unexpected pedestrian, bell man, tourist or tour guide. Instantly we had a common bond. The ball became our language of choice, and it immediately brought smiles to our faces. The greatest lesson I learned over the summer was that when we have a chance to explore a new place, we should. You never know what hidden gems, or teammates, you may find. Looking forward to hearing your summer stories soon.
