Thought for the day…
Tonight may be one of the most important games of my life. The thought of it gets me excited, but at the same time pensive. Playing is FUN, and that will never change. But, at this stage and level, moving forward and making the playoffs is what it is all about. My team has struggled bravely and NOW is when it matters most. How do YOU make sense of tight situations? For me, I find that putting a smile on my face, slapping HighFives and doing small,simple things on the field first to gain confidence helps. Also, I remember that each moment is independent of what happens next, so any mistake can be left behind and something great could follow. Trying harder doesn’t make things easier, so settling down and taking a deep breath lightens the load. I hope to send you a note later that is good news for the playoffs. Continue to have PRIDE in everything you do.
