Feeling the Pressure

Hello Friends.  I hope you all had a great 4th of July.  I am writing to tell you that I am feeling a bit of pressure like I have never felt before in my career.  It is amazing that no matter how old or young I am, or feel, there is still a desire to get on the field in a game and do well.  Only if I could get on the field.  I am balancing my inner desire to play in the games, with where I stand in my coaches eyes. With celebrations of the 10 year anniversary of the Women’s World Cup going on, I don’t just want to take pictures and sign autographs, although I do those happily.  I want any attention to be warranted, so I am perplexed.  Have you ever wanted something, and the more you tried, the harder and farther away it seemed?  That is where I find myself.  So I am trying to find my chi, calm, zone, happiness or whatever you call it.  I don’t know the solution to this particular challenge, but if I come to any conclusions, I will let you know.  I just wanted to share that whether you think you are the best, are the best, want to be the best, have people doubt you are the best, you have to continue to do your best everyday, so that when you get a chance to display your best talent, you will come through under the heat of the moment.  So today, when FC Gold Pride take the field against St.Louis, I will warm up and study the game until my name is called.

I’m only 13 but I see you have a young baby son now who requires 24/7 care so leaving the FC Goldpride to care for him as mothers usually do like my taxi driving sports Mom does now sounds like a option…nothing beats the warmth of mother’s daily love for sure…I respect my Mom for always being here and raising me and shuffling me around these days…just one to ponder…personally I have so much respect for Olympiad Bruce Jenner who cares for both his daughter’s these days…FC Goldpride will miss you

hi Brandi,
We had a real treat watching you play last year for FC Gold Pride, when you played Sky Blue in NJ.  This year, when we went to another Sky Blue game, my kids’ only regret was that they couldn’t watch you play again. But they make up for it by endlessly watching the HBO documentary Dare to Dream.
